Moonrise Kingdom
(2012) V.O. English with Spanish subtitles. Directed by Wes Anderson.
Warm, whimsical, and poignant, the immaculately framed and beautifully acted Moonrise Kingdom presents writer/director Wes Anderson at his idiosyncratic best.

Set in 1965 on an idyllic New England island called New Penzance: orphaned 12-year-old Sam Shakusky (Jared Gilman) attending a "Khaki Scout" summer camp meets Suzy Bishop (Kara Hayward) who lives on the island with her lawyer parents Walt (Bill Murray) and Laura (Frances McDormand). They fall in love and decide to flee. Various factions are mobilized to search for them and the town is turned upside down -- which might not be such a bad thing…

"David Bowie & the Story of Ziggy Stardust"
(2012, Original English version with Spanish subtitles), directed by James Hale.

Synopsis: In 1972,  the album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" invaded the minds of the new generation with its lethal mix of extraterrestrial rock 'n' roll, androgynous sexuality and colorful theatrical performances, converting David Bowie into the greatest musical phenomenon of the decade. For Bowie himself it was part of his continued efforts to find the right formula to bring him success. This BBC documentary, narrated by Jarvis Coker, a great fan of the singer, reveals Bowie's mission to the stars.

"Amy, the girl behind the name"
(2015, Shown in the original English, with Spanish subtitles.), directed by Asif Kapadia.

Synopsis:
A documentary about the famous British singer Amy Winehouse, featuring previously unreleased footage and interviews with the star, who died of cardiac arrest in July 2011 at the age of 27, due to her excesses with drugs and alcohol, aggravated by bulimia. Winner of 6 Grammy Awards, Amy Winehouse had had a difficult childhood but an enormous natural talent for jazz and soul and a prodigious voice, and quickly became a world star.
This sensitive and moving documentary is a tour de force of editing, using scraps of interviews, unofficial photos and videos, home movies by family and friends, to create a layered and thoughtful portrait of a young woman who became a victim of her own success, and a tragic emblem of the times we live in. A great film.
