The Great Canapé Contest - Saturday, September 9

The first annual Canapé Contest, in collaboration with Planeta Marratxi.
A panel of International chefs will award a trophy to the best canapés.
19:30 h. Admission: 10 € (Profits go charity, the Fundación Campaner, which helps ill children) includes sampling of canapés, exchange of recipes, and a drink. Participate! Call us for more info.

Re-Transmissions - Vernissage - Friday, September 15

An exhibition of children’s art, influenced by the great names of contemporary art, curated by Xisco Ballesta. Children exposed to the works of Picasso, Mondrian, Calder, Monet and other great names of modern art, show their stuff. 20:30 pm
Will include a hands-on session for kids. Free.
Exhibition runs until October 8. Hours: Sat-Sun 11-14:00, or by appointment.

Programme for PING 3 - Thursday, September 21

Sa Taronja presents its programme for PING3 (Festival of experimental art and music, Oct 11-22) at the “Nit de l’Art” in Palma at the Minimal Bar, Passeig Mallorca, 8.
¡PING! is Mallorca’s most unusual festival: a feast of experimental music, dance, video, performance, digital art and installations. In 2006, PING 3 represents some of the most arresting work of experimental artists working today.
This is the third year of PING!, which is now a permanent annual event in Mallorca’s arts calendar. PING brings together Mallorcan artists with those of another country, to exchange ideas and forge links for future work. For the public, it’s a chance to hear and see some of the most innovative and stimulating performances and exhibitions in new and mixed media, and at the same time to explore creative techniques in the workshops offered by the participating artists.
After two years of collaboration with Belgium, the spotlight falls this year on Germany. We have invited a range of surprising German artists to come to Sa Taronja and present their work alongside that of Mallorcan artists and musicians.
