The association celebrates its tenth anniversary

It's hard to believe, but the Cultural Association of Sa Taronja is ten years old. Created in 1997 by local artist Hartmut Usadel to fill the spaces of the Can Burgos chicken farm with art and culture, Sa Taronja has grown in experience and fame and now can count on a long list of members, friends and patrons who regularly enjoy our programme of cultural events. We receive assistance from the Ayuntamiento of Andratx and the Consell of Mallorca and several private sponsors. Our programme includes events for young and old, offering evening classes, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, conferences, and parties; we offer exceptional concerts for classical music-fans and jazz aficionados, and are always looking for new ideas to make our programme even more interesting. To celebrate all of this, we are throwing a three-day party at Sa Taronja. If you don't know us yet, now is the time to find out. We need your continuing support - and more members. Our artist and musician friends have promised to lend a hand (helping out at Sa Taronja is fun! Come and join us!). There will be something for everyone during the three day event. We hope to gain more members, friends and volunteers, and raise money for the association; come and join in the fun! ...bring your children...and if you are an artist, bring your work ……

Friday, 21 September - Concert: Jam Session
21:30 h "Jam Session" Admission: 5 euros
All musicians and all styles welcome. Local musicians will be waiting for you, with a sound system, piano, video projector, drumkit and amplifier.
Bar/food from 20:00 - Chili con Carne, with salad, 8 euros (with vegetarian option).

Saturday, 22 September
15:00 h Sale of arts, crafts, and natural products by Sa Taronja members and friends.
Current exhibitions in the Sa Taronja Galleries:
El Tiempo de un Beso, by photographers Marga Moner and Mar Ordoñez, and Collages by Patrick Harris.
16:00 - 19:00 h Children's games, with prizes and surprises, and a bouncy castle, courtesy of Ludopolis.
17:00-19:00 h There will be demonstrations and free classes in Tango, Belly Dance, Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, and Creative Movement. Come and try them out…

MUSIC:
21:30 h Admission: 5 euros
DJ Night: Music to dance to ('70s to today) by Island Monkey and dj Mat
