We expect experienced artists to bring their own easels and materials. For beginners, we will have a selection of easels and drawing boads on hand, with basic materials for painting and drawing, and several artists and teachers will be available to give tips and run workshops.
MARTA BARTOLOMÉ, art teacher from the Port of Andratx School, will be there to guide and encourage children and adults.
KATIE STEVENS, painter, sculptor and mosaic-maker, will be giving a workshop in upside-down drawing from 12 to 13:00.

The first musical Wednesday in Limón y Chelo!Join crazy pilot photographer Pedro Citoler for a free drink tonight, Wednesday, June 16 at SA TARONJA.
Pedro will be demonstrating his flying skills with a paraglider and a propellor strapped to his back, at 10 am in the field next to Es Saluet (Puerto Andratx) (weather permitting).
To celebrate the start of the season and the beginning of our series of musical Wednesdays, from 20.00 to 22.00 h,

Africa on the island + Concert: BANASANOU - Sunday, June 20
We welcome SIKANAM, a new Mallorcan intercultural association which has organized a day of African activities including dance, music, films, and typical African BBQ. Sa Taronja will open its doors at 11 a.m.
11:30 - 12:30 h: Beginners DJEMBE workshop by master drummer and leading exponent of African music Seydou Sissokho, assisted by his students of the BANASANOU group. Cost: 15€ if you need us to provide a Djembe, 10€ for students with their own instrument.
11:30 - 12:30 h: African Dance workshop directed by Malick, under the watchful eye of Dance mistress Diabou. Cost: 10 €. Reduced prices for children or students of Banasanou.
11:30 - 12:30 h : Films about Casamance, the greenest province of Senegal, and videos of Senegalese drumming seminars. (Gratis)
13:00 Presentation of the intercultural association SIKANAM
13:30 DIBITERI - a typical Senegalese barbecue. There will also be a choice of chicken cous cous or vegetarian option. 10 €.

19:00 BANASANOU A concert by Djembe master Seydou Sissokho and his band. 8 €, Members: 5 €. Among the instruments will be the kora, a 21-stringed instrument traditionally played for kings….. and other surprises.
Part of the funds raised will go to the Sikanam Intercultural Association.
