Harald Weiss - Seminar: The daily life of a composer - Friday, October 15

EXPERIENCING THE WORLD THROUGH SOUND AND RHYTHM

In the form of an illustrated lecture - with something of the character of a conversation - Harald Weiss will present his compositional work and his reflections on the composer's life, supported by videos, CDs, texts, etc.

A seminar in several parts, each reflecting an image of society :

* Student years - the movement of '68
* Influence of many years spent abroad in India, Africa and South America.
* From serial music to the Minimalist movement
* Pluralism in the jet age. "Everything goes" - so what?
* How composition comes about - drawing on his most recent work, the Requiem. From the first sketches to the complete, evening-long work.

Theatre. 9 p.m. Duration: 3 hours. 15 €, 10 € Members
