MUSETHICA comes to Mallorca:

The Musethica concept was conceived in 2009 by the violist Avri Levitan and was officially launched in 2012 in Zaragoza (Spain) under the auspices of Avri Levitan and Professor Carmen Marcuello. Musethica is now also active in Berlin (Germany), Tel Aviv (Israel) and is spreading around the world.
Musethica offers a new definition of what it means to be an excellent musician in today’s world. Its aim is to introduce a profound change in the international system of classical music education and proposes a new concept and approach to classical music performance in higher education.
For Musethica, advanced music students perform on a regular basis for a wide variety of audiences, for people who are not the typical traditional concert hall attendees. The young musicians receive no fee for their performances. To ensure performances of the highest standard, the Musethica team monitors the participation of each of the young musicians taking part in the program very closely.
The concerts take place at a great variety of locations within the community: special education schools, hospitals, psychiatric centres, prisons, centres for the homeless, community centres, social centres and other such institutions. The model provides the students with the opportunity to play a huge number of yearly concerts which tremendously improves their musical and instrumental abilities and brings joy and happiness to many children, youth and adults during the academic school year.
