"RAKU" Ceramics session

FREE- Open air in the square of S'Arraco

From 6 pm to 11 pm in the square of S'Arracó, as part of the S'Arracó fiestas, Sa Taronja is presenting a very special experience:  Come and see how Raku pottery is produced.

Raku is a type of Japanese pottery that is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Taking part in a Raku workshop is an exciting experience! Raku is unpredictable, working with the elements of fire, earth and oxygen, and nothing can beat the wonder of seeing the unexpected colours, textures and finishes that emerge from the black ashes of the reduction firing process.
Led by the expert ceramics teacher Ruben Cano, an award-winning ceramicist from Llucmayor. His passion about ceramics is as fresh today as when he first put his hands into the clay.
